As we love South Africa so much we are running another tour to a different part of this wonderful country, this time to the more tropical climes of Durban.

On this great itinerary we will spend 8 nights at the Capital Zimbali Resort, an exclusive coastal retreat set within the lush Zimbali Estate and play some great golf courses along the way.

This former Fairmont-managed resort now shines under the Capital Hotels & Apartments brand, offering 5-star amenities, gourmet dining, and access to pristine beaches and nature reserves.

Golf rounds in KwaZulu-Natal that we will play

Zimbali Golf Course (on-site & 2 rounds) - Designed by Tom Weiskopf, this scenic course winds through indigenous forest and rolling hills.

Prince’s Grant Golf Estate - One of South Africa’s top-rated coastal courses, offering championship golf and panoramic Indian Ocean view

Simbithi Golf Estate - A shorter but fun 18‑hole executive course which is designed by Peter Matkovich. It is Par‑60, combining par‑3s, par‑4s and one par‑5

Durban Country Club - A true icon, recently host of the South African Open, known for its challenging links-style layout and heritage status.

Mount Edgecombe - Mount Edgecombe Country Club Estate sits inland of Umhlanga Rocks, in the rolling hills of the KwaZulu‑Natal North Coast

For the last 4 nights of our tour, we will stay at The Bakubung Bush Lodge which is very close to Sun City. When staying here the group can experience a safari experience, reside in lodge style accommodation with modern amenities. During our stay, we will play two rounds of golf at The Sun City courses of Gary Player & Lost City which have featured on DP World Tour and Sunshine Tours respectively.

Please note The Gary Player course is a walking course, golf buggies can be requested with a medical certificate subject to availability and course conditions. If you prefer to guarantee a buggy, there is the option to play The Lost City course again.

20th October 2026 - Golf at Zimbali Golf Club

21st October 2026 - Check out of hotel, transfer to the airport & fly to Johannesburg, then transfer to Bakubung and enjoy an evening safari before dinner.

22nd October 2026 - Golf at Sun City - The Lost City Course

23rd October 2026 - Enjoy a game drive in The Pilansberg

24th October 2026 - Golf at Sun City - The Gary Player Course

25th October 2026 - Last chance for a final game drive. In the afternoon transfer to the airport for onward arrangements.

As always, we are delighted to be able to offer a fully protected flight inclusive package price on a request basis.

International flights are available with British Airways or Virgin Atlantic to Johannesburg which will connect to Durban and for the return the flight can be direct from Johannesburg to London. Other options include flying via Istanbul or Dubai with Turkish Airlines or Emirates respectively.

The cost of the internal flight from Durban to Johannesburg may be able to be added to your international ticket.
