Let us build you a Garden Route golf tour for you and share all of our experience with you. And we can extend your tour with time in Cape Town or the Winelands.
Or join one of our South Africa Escorted Golf Tours.
Our local knowledge can be used to guide you on the best driving routes, the sights to see and even the restaurants and wine farms to visit. For a start do you take the quicker N2 or the Old Dutch route N62?
We can offer some of "our secret" Guest Houses to some of the finest 4 & 5* hotels in the Western Cape - to help tailor make a tour to suit your budget.
The tour can include the option of 5* Fancourt – one of the world’s best golf resorts at George. Or let us tell you about smaller hotels at Robertson, Knysna and George and many more that are just delightful.
Fancy staying on farms with meerkats, on wineries, hotels where in certain months you can see whales from the golf course or your hotel room and then there is the Game Reserve we can include in your Garden Route adventure … just ask!
We can also book you hotels in Cape Town to start or finish your tour.
Just call or email and let us share our expertise with you.
In Cape Town we can offer golf at:
In the Winelands let us book you to play:
On the Garden Route:
George Golf Club
Fancourt Resort - 3 courses
We partner with caring and professional private transfer companies based in Cape Town and George if you perfer not to drive. Or if you would like a self-drive tour then let us include in the package ,a hire car from our partners.
Erinvale in Somerset West would be a good base to start - then head to Franschhoek or Hermanus direction, at each we have "secret B&B's" or 4* hotels for you.
Then head further East but whether you play it on the way out or back, your Garden Route Golf Tour is not complete without a visit to Pinnacle Point - this has to be one of the world's most spectacular golf courses!
5* Fancourt Hotel & Golf Estate, George:
If you can, do stay at Fancourt for a great 5* experience - with 3 golf courses and 5* facilities.
Fancourt is one of the finest golf resorts in the world, with an exceptional mix of classic elegance and modern luxury - it only has 115 rooms. Your room will be one of the Classic Rooms, but we can upgrade you to stay in luxury suites or even the exclusive Manor House - including your own butler!
Fancourt (owned by the creator of SAP software) has all of the leisure facilities you would expect from a 5* facility.
Classic or Suite rooms:
As an alternative to the Fancourt Resort we have a good 3* hotel in George, which overlooks George Golf Course!
Then a stop in Knysna is required - where you can stay at the Waterfront or above the town at Simola or Pezula resorts. Or if you prefer we have a great value B&B amongst the wildlife on the Knysna lagoon.
The suites at Simola are the height of luxury, with spectacular views. And you will never forget playing the Jack Niclaus Signature course at Simola.
5* Simola Resort Hotel:
Knysna is a must to visit
Here you will stay 5 nights at 5* Simola hotel with a spectacular view of Knysna, looking over the Lagoon and out to 'The Heads'. The hotel is complete with all of the 5* comforts you would expect. You will stay in one of Simola's spacious suites.
Simola and Pezula Golf:
In Knysna you can take boat rides and walks above "The Heads" or visit Knysna Elephant Reserve, but if you are staying at Simola you will be drawn back to enjoy the views!
For the Game Experience we highly recommend 5* Botlierskop Game Reserve near Mossel Bay:
The Botlierskop Reserve is located in the Outeniqua Mountains and covers 4000 hectares. This malaria free, family run reserve is home to an abundance of animals, including 4 of the 'Big 5'; lions, elephants, buffalo, giraffe, rhino, hippo, rare black impalas as well as unique bird life.
At the Reserve there are 2 swimming pools, tennis courts and a Spa. You can stay in The Manor House or Luxury Tents.
The resort is a few miles from George airport and on the edge of the town of George. Fancourt is superbly landscaped on 613 hectares of lush countryside with the majestic Outeniqua mountains as the perfect backdrop. 2 nights here with 3 game drives would be perfect.
On the way back to Cape Town stop at Swellendam and then spend a night or 2 in Hermanus or Franschhoek - depending on which route you took coming East. At Hermanus you have a great members course, framed by mountains. Do look out for the widlife on the course.
Leave time on the way back to Cape Town to take the costal route to see the Penguins at Betty's Bay!
Let us design the perfect Garden Route Tour for you. We suggest you allow a minimum of 10 nights.
