In May 2010, the Oxfordshire Golf Club opened its doors to a luxury 50 bedroom Hotel and Spa, this adjoins the existing clubhouse facilities and has transformed the resort into one of the country's top golf venues. Situated in the heart of the Chilterns, it is ideally situated for both London and the Midlands.
The golf course has hosted major tournaments such as the Benson & Hedges International, Andersen Consulting World Championship and the Ladies English Open. Recent accolades include a top 50 place to Stay & Play (voted by Golf Monthly magazine) and the Top Golf Course in the county (voted by the Top 100 Golf Courses in England).
The course was designed by Rees Jones. He was also responsible for the redesign of the US Open courses of Torrey Pines and Bethpage, so you can rest assure a challenge lies ahead. It has many strategically contoured holes that blend naturally into the surrounding countryside, topped off by four lakes and 135 bunkers.
